Best Support Solution Ever

So the other day we discovered that, following a reboot, our Helpdesk system (name withheld) decided to delete some of its files for no immediately obvious reason.

After a fairly lengthy investigation, we simply restored the missing files from our backup but were none the wiser as to why they’d disappeared in the first place.

Naturally, the issue was logged with the manufacturer to try to work out a solution and stop it happening again. Today I heard how they want to go about investigating the problem:

Reboot the server again and see if any more files are deleted.

Brilliant. Why didn’t I think of that?
