In Britain, we’re now constantly told we must be more energy efficient; switch of TVs rather than using standby, use energy-saving bulbs, and so on. So please tell me why trains have their heaters on full blast at the moment???
I know it’s cold outside but it’s bloody hot on the train thanks to the heaters being on full blast the whole way. The result of this is that everybody opens the windows, letting all the heat stream out and reducing the temperature to just below sweat-breaking levels.
The other problem is that, once you’ve sweltered for half an hour, you step off the train onto a freezing platform at the other end and promptly collapse from the change in temperature. Okay – exaggeration there, I admit.
Come on rail companies! Sort it out!
