The morning after the contract before

The funny feeling at work caused by the waiting has gone to be be replaced by another funny feeling. Most of the people I’ve talked to today are in a bit of a can’t-be-bothered mood. Since we don’t know what’s going to happen to our jobs yet, nobody’s sure whether there’ll be working on the new contract or where there’ll be; whether they’ll get a nice redundancy payment or whether they’ll be told to go and work somewhere else.

The best guess is that my team (well… the team to which I belong, but that’s too long to type every time) will be transferred into the new company, but we might be wrong. On the other hand, we may have to spend months on handing over all our systems to some bunch of clueless cretins and that, my friends, does not sound like my idea of a great time.
