Kevin’s comment to the ASP.NET Gripe #1 entry describes the best way of sorting this problem out (BTW – is that you, Mr Rattan?)
I’d hoped to avoid doing that by waiting until VS.NET 2005 came out and then using that, but – as Kevin points out – it still doesn’t work. Looks like I’m going to have to write a derived class though. Still, writing code for future reuse is always one of my favourite activities (code-wise, at least). Once I get around to it, I’ll post the code here. Which means I’ll have to write it at home. Or not tell my boss.
